Dr Michael English

Michael with a group of others, pioneered the first Excimer Laser used in Perth in the mid 90’s. Michael is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. He is also a fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmology (UK).

He is also a member of the Australian and American Cataract and Refractive Surgeons Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Michael founded the Clear Vision Laser Clinic specifically for correcting refractive errors using the latest technology. He also maintains a busy Ophthalmic Practice specialising in Cataract Surgery. His wealth of experience in these areas allows him to provide the full range of Refractive Surgical Procedures.

Laser surgery in its current form has been around since 1997 with the introduction of the LASIK (Laser Assisted In-Situ Keratomileusis) procedure.

VISX STAR S4 EXCIMER LASER

Michael now owns a VISX Star S4 Excimer Laser. Our laser is the only one of its type in Perth. Over two thirds of laser visual corrections worldwide are performed on a VISX laser. What sets this laser apart from the others is it has an Iris Recognition tracking system that moves with your eye movements in three-dimensional format throughout your laser correction procedure.

The customised visual correction using the VISX customVue™ treatment is designed for each individual and their specific needs for reducing corneal distortion. Your corneas are mapped and analysed using the VISX wavescan® analyser and a treatment is designed for your unique needs.
